Top Ten Things to Do on the Subway

1. Save on a gym membership...arm press your briefcase to work out your biceps.

2. Take a nap...just make sure you wake up in time for your stop.

3. Catch up on your reading. I am reading two books right now. Mad Church Disease and Get A Life!

4. Catch up on current events. Yesterday's headline..."Is Michael Phelps Swimming Or Sinking?"

5. Catch up with a friend. If you are so lucky to live off the same subway line.

6. Check out the newest album you have downloaded from iTunes. My most recent purchase is Ben Kweller's Changing Horses.

7. People watch. All observations of the different people who live and visit NYC can be highly entertaining.

8. You will be shocked and amazed at the vocabulary of the children. I didn't even know some of these curse words existed.

9. Practice your dance moves, future Rock band poses, and public speaking in front of an audience who has no where to go till the next stop so won't get up and leave in the middle of your performance.

10. Work on a blog post so when people see your blog they don't think you only write once a month.

These are just a few of the many things that you can see or do on the subway commute. And trust me, they are limited. The subway holds endless possibilities.
